Make yourself at home. My name is Olivia McCormack. I’m a journalist and off-platform strategist on an endless journey to further connect audiences to the news they need.

Omg, are you interested? Already? Here’s my resume.

I currently work at The Washington Post and wear many hats: Newsletter Editor, Style Editorial Aide, and Freelance Writer. This amalgamation of a job has allowed me to pursue my passion for audience work while still being in the weeds of the editorial process. I’ve recently taken on curation for Post Most (our flagship newsletter) and promotion of our Style Section newsletter. But don’t worry! I still write. Click here to see my articles.

Previously, I was … also at The Washington Post just in a more administrative role as a Copy Aide. I started that job the Monday after my college graduation, and it helped me build needed organizational skills (ie managing meetings, staffing events) as well as begin my newsletter track at The Post.

I graduated from American University with a BA in journalism and a minor in history. I am from the beautiful and very cold state of Maine, living in DC, and looking to relocate to NYC.

“Hayden Anhedönia is sitting comfortably in her Pittsburgh home. Meanwhile, Ethel Cain, the musical persona Anhedönia created, is rotting in her lover’s stomach, having fallen victim to a case of domestic cannibalism that Cain recounts on her debut studio album, ‘Preacher’s Daughter.’”
